I'd like to convert my K-Line GG1 to run on overhead power.  I removed the body and noticed that there is a wiring harness already wired to the two lugs under the pantographs.  However, there is no place to plug the male plug into.

I can do some cutting of the wires coming from the center rail pick-up rollers and cut the plug off of the wiring harness, then connect them, but was wondering if anyone else has done the conversion.

What I am doing on mine is to put in a SPDT miniature slide switch and then rewired the power feeds thru the switch.  That gives me the option to have the loco get power from either track or overhead depending on switch location.   Probably not necessary to do it that way but  I like the idea it is drawing power solely from the overhead when that option is selected.   As already stated you would still have track power for passenger cars.
