I’ve been trying to contact him for awhile no luck. I placed an order last spring,  gave a deposit. I last spoke to him months ago, he doesn’t, answer emails or return my calls.

Is it possible to post some detailed pictures of the wires and show where they go?  It's possible someone could figure out how to connect them from some good pictures. There are certainly lots of very knowledgeable folks around here and if they see this you might be in business.

Per Doug, the lights he provides with his shadow box fronts use 12 volt DC.  I have not checked one out yet, but I would assume the red lead would be positive.

I have two of Doug’s pre-lighted buildings... although I haven’t installed them yet, being a true techno-peasant, I asked some time ago about the wiring. The blacks are common, and the colors are hot. Not the best pics, but here is the building with a temporary power connection...

RTR12, the picture shown in my original post show the wires available coming out of the base of the building front. There are 6 wires, red, white,yellow, blue, black, green. I am providing another picture showing a clearer view of the wires.  I cannot show where they go, other than they connect to lights inside the building front.         

 Don, I hate to assume the color coding of somebody else's work, but thanks for the idea.

Paul, thanks. I just saw your post after I sent my post.  I will play with the color wires to determine which ones control which rows of windows, as I may want to turn off some windows to provide different appearances. I have 3 sections of building fronts that mate together.

I plan on going to Amherst and plan on talking to Doug (I have a whole bunch of unlit shadow boxes and am trying to get some LED’s to put the lighting in myself). I had a long chat with Doug about two years ago when I drove down to pick up an order and he discussed not lighting every floor/window. I have to agree that some variety will look better. I’ll be sure to have your picture with me.

The second picture didn't add much, but I see above that Apple55 has the solution for powering up the lights in the buildings. Those look like pretty good wires they used too.

I was able to talk to Doug at the Big E yesterday... he was sorry for the “failure to communicate”  

Doug indicated that the common wires are joined internally and the single black wire in your picture is the sole common. The various colored wires are the hot - 12v. So you should be good to light away!!!
