Its never to early to put a bug in Lionel's ear for the upcoming catalogs.

So, I would like to see:

- some more SD70ace's or SD70M's with Central Maine and Quebec paint scheme. See the pictures. The Central Maine and Quebec is owned by the Canadain Pacific.

- GP9s in Providence and Worcester paint.

Any of the above locomotives in a Lionel Lines paint (which always looks good)

More Lion chief or Legacy locomotives that can negotiate an O-36 curve.

What I really want is Lionel to acquire MTH's steam engines and produce the PRR A5.  That I would buy in a heartbeat.

Other than that, I'll keep to models that have already built:

-BN #1876 SD40-2 in Bicentennial colors. To run with Lionel's earlier Legacy BN #1776 U30 release.  This pair actually pulled the American Freedom Train when the steamers were in maintenance, so I think it would be neat to have both for my AFT set.

-The new MoW cars in PRR gray.  They were not painted yellow until the mid-50s, and many stayed gray for a lot longer.

I know this is probably totally unlikely, but LionChief or LionChief+ retrofits.  A TMCC/Legacy to Lionchief bridge device to allow control of older LC and LC+ locos via the cab-1 or cab-2.

Down the road a TMCC/Legacy to TIU bridge to control PS2 and PS3 locos for those who are going to eventually be orphaned by the end of MTH. Even better, find a way to directly control PS2 or PS3 locos without a TIU by making some sort of emulator device.

A LionChief controllable culvert loader and unloader that works from the App and/or the universal remote.

How about a updated postwar Seaboard switcher with LionChief or LionChief +2.0?

I think they offered one ages ago under 'K-Line by Lionel', but I could be wrong. They were originally K-Line models so its likely not going to happen, but they are sold under the Williams by Bachmann name now. Just would like one with the same level of detail as K-Line or Weaver, but with Legacy.

If they could get the k-line tooling back, it would be a great fit for lc+2.0. However I can’t see full legacy going into it unless it’s entirely new tooling. If an lc+2.0 is produced in b&o or western Maryland I might be interested.

I would love to see the return of the Legacy 2-6-0 Moguls, they would fit in nicely with the one small steam locomotive Lionel does per catalog (Ten-Wheeler, Camelback, etc.)

  • Strasburg 89 comes to mind as one I would like to see made but between the Camelback and SW8 last catalog, that is a lot of Strasburg stuff to release in a short time.

As for diesels I am hoping for another run of the H16-44.

  • Hopefully, Nassau hobby would do a custom run of some LIRR units with Lionel.

Lastly, the return of the GLa hoppers, I have two of them and love them!

The only mass produced close to scale RS3 has been the Weaver version and the Atlas version is a close second.

To change to the topic and provide a positive contribution, I'd like to see:

  • Real 2 rail offerings with fixed pilots and DCC
  • Runs of individual 21" cars so we aren't stuck with the traditional 4 car set and a 2 car add-on pack.  The 21" generic Budd style cars are well done for the price point, but it would be nice to be able to add-on some 10-6's and coaches for a longer train.
  • A re-run of F40PHs less the quality control issues of the original runs.  Yes, it is a "classic F unit" now, but they did do a nice job with theirs on capturing the details correctly.  For me this locomotive and all the -40 series EMDs are the epitome of quality and Longevity.
  • CNJ Atlantic 592 - the one in the B&O museum.  It pulled the Blue Comet often during the later years and served another 10 years in service.  It is not the same body casting as the overdone 10 wheeler as the steam dome is behind the cab and there is more space between the Wooten firebox and the cab.  The proportions of that one .  Preferably in 2 rail for me on that one.
  • CNJ GP40-P.  I would purchase this in at least two to three of the 5 paint schemes it ended up in through NJT and I don't see this coming from anyone else at any time.

Otherwise for now I don't really have anything else on my bucket list that I don't see coming from my preferred manufacturer.

This is a pretty much a repeat of what was on my wish list for 2021 V1 as none of my wishes made the catalog:

- Strasburg 90:  would be nice to finally have in O scale. I don't think this would be as 'niche' of an engine to make as Strasburg is considered one of (if not the) most quintessential tourist railroad in the US. Many have fond memories there and I can see this being a good seller. The MTH SRC coaches sold out in just 2 days at my LHS (they ordered 20+ in addition to preorders). I could see the 8618 and camelback not being the best sellers as many are waiting for 90 as it has been teased here and on other sites.

- PRR P5: (did MTH ever manufacture the ones that they advertised in their 2020 V1 catalog? Haven't seen them advertised on any LHS websites ) I would like someone to produce this again (with or without the MTH tooling), unlikely that it will be Lionel though. Yes, 3rd rail has offered these before but I wasn't as involved in the hobby during their latest offering.

- PRR MP54: an old K-line tooling that Lionel made years ago under the K-line by Lionel name. It would be nice to see these be produced again with some upgrades.

- PRR K4s with short haul tenders: the same ones they did in 2011. Prewar, also not a fan of the long haul tendered ones they have made in the last few years. Given it's been 10 years now, I could see them reissuing this in the not-so-distant future, if not this year.

- PRR M1s (anyone starting to notice a certain theme here?? ): same as they have done in 2014. Like the K4's it's been a while since so I could see these on Lionel's "to-do list".

- I would also be interested in another run of the VL GG1's in a few years (similar to how they did a re-run of the 2-10-10-2's) as they are really nice but hard to find now in the 5 strip DGLE.
