I’d really like to see one of these....in a true olive-drab, not Kelly green.

I think Canadian Pacific and its subsidiaries will be very popular in the next few Lionel catalogs now that CP is the largest railroad in North America.
I think we are due for a LC+ 2.0 City of Los Angeles UP set.

TO get the correct window patterns an interiors, it is more likely GGD would do this as potential rerun. They did them correctly fist time and have the correct extrusion tool for the Congo to do them in aluminum.
Just a simple scale RS3 in DL&W black would make me very happy, in LC+2.0.

@Csxcellent posted:Has Lionel ever offered a scale rs3? My first engine was a Christmas rs3, but I’ve never seen a scale rs3 from Lionel, only mth.
The only mass produced close to scale RS3 has been the Weaver version and the Atlas version is a close second.
To change to the topic and provide a positive contribution, I'd like to see:
- Real 2 rail offerings with fixed pilots and DCC
- Runs of individual 21" cars so we aren't stuck with the traditional 4 car set and a 2 car add-on pack. The 21" generic Budd style cars are well done for the price point, but it would be nice to be able to add-on some 10-6's and coaches for a longer train.
- A re-run of F40PHs less the quality control issues of the original runs. Yes, it is a "classic F unit" now, but they did do a nice job with theirs on capturing the details correctly. For me this locomotive and all the -40 series EMDs are the epitome of quality and Longevity.
- CNJ Atlantic 592 - the one in the B&O museum. It pulled the Blue Comet often during the later years and served another 10 years in service. It is not the same body casting as the overdone 10 wheeler as the steam dome is behind the cab and there is more space between the Wooten firebox and the cab. The proportions of that one . Preferably in 2 rail for me on that one.
- CNJ GP40-P. I would purchase this in at least two to three of the 5 paint schemes it ended up in through NJT and I don't see this coming from anyone else at any time.
Otherwise for now I don't really have anything else on my bucket list that I don't see coming from my preferred manufacturer.

It’d be nice to see another run of the Legacy Norfolk & Western Y6b’s (the #2174 and #2190 in particular!) or the Legacy New York City Subway sets
What some people might want, but they have not said it yet is that they would like to get:
O scale models of the Greenbrier/Gunderson MAXI-STACK five-unit, 40' wells intermodal cars in various railroad paint schemes.
Andrew
How about a Legacy F3 in Southern green and white livery. The last one Lionel offered was back in MPC era (1980's).
I have been hoping since they offered the scale F3's about 18 years ago.
One can hope,
Don
This is a pretty much a repeat of what was on my wish list for 2021 V1 as none of my wishes made the catalog:
- Strasburg 90: would be nice to finally have in O scale. I don't think this would be as 'niche' of an engine to make as Strasburg is considered one of (if not the) most quintessential tourist railroad in the US. Many have fond memories there and I can see this being a good seller. The MTH SRC coaches sold out in just 2 days at my LHS (they ordered 20+ in addition to preorders). I could see the 8618 and camelback not being the best sellers as many are waiting for 90 as it has been teased here and on other sites.
- PRR P5: (did MTH ever manufacture the ones that they advertised in their 2020 V1 catalog? Haven't seen them advertised on any LHS websites ) I would like someone to produce this again (with or without the MTH tooling), unlikely that it will be Lionel though. Yes, 3rd rail has offered these before but I wasn't as involved in the hobby during their latest offering.
- PRR MP54: an old K-line tooling that Lionel made years ago under the K-line by Lionel name. It would be nice to see these be produced again with some upgrades.
- PRR K4s with short haul tenders: the same ones they did in 2011. Prewar, also not a fan of the long haul tendered ones they have made in the last few years. Given it's been 10 years now, I could see them reissuing this in the not-so-distant future, if not this year.
- PRR M1s (anyone starting to notice a certain theme here?? ): same as they have done in 2014. Like the K4's it's been a while since so I could see these on Lionel's "to-do list".
- I would also be interested in another run of the VL GG1's in a few years (similar to how they did a re-run of the 2-10-10-2's) as they are really nice but hard to find now in the 5 strip DGLE.
Well let’s hope Lionel pays attention! Are you listening Lionel? Lots of good ideas here! 😁
