A Western Maryland 4-8-4 would be awesome!!

I’d really like to see a return of the Legacy N&W Y6b’s with some Vision Line auxiliary water tenders! I know it’s a long shot hoping they’ll be in the next catalog since the A Class locos we’re just featured in this one, but a guy can dream! Some more N&W rolling stock would be nice as well.

Some nice stuff, certainly sticker shock, but then again, with me that is anything these days above about 30 bucks *lol*. The one thing I hope to see someday in Lionchief mode is the LC 2.0 docksider they had a couple of years ago, I missed out on that (specifically the Brooklyn Eastern District one. I love small engines in general, they have some nice switchers in this catalog if I can scrape up the money for them

Yes, those were hugely popular. I think the particular loco itself drew lots of attention AND they were also one of the first of the new Lion Chief Plus 2.0 line. Lots of electronics in a small space.

As I recall, a good number of forum posters even purchased more than one.

The Brooklyn livery was my favorite.

I feel as though a good number of the things mentioned have been done within the past 10-15 years (not all of them of course - there  are certainly some random road names and such).  However, I’ve been waiting for a NYC 20th Century Limited for FOREVER!!  A Dreyfus Hudson with 1938 scheme (blue stripe) hasn’t been done in this century!  Was last slated for 2008 production and mysteriously cancelled…. It’s obviously a highly sought after set yet catalog after catalog come out with reruns of the same old items stuffed with slightly modified tech.  Hey Lionel…!!!  MAKE A DREYFUS AND MATCHING 1938 CARS!!!!!

Don't get me wrong this catalog's Post War style military cars are cool, but how about some regular "US Army/Airforce/Navy/Marines" freight cars? We've had the sharknoses and turbine from the previous two catalogs, and now in this one we've got an 0-4-0 and an ES44, but barely anything to throw behind them save these traditional cars. A few flatbeds with some tanks or some regular boxcars and tankers would be perfect.

The K LINE injection molds are apparently being held by Bachmann Trains in CHINA.

The people at LIONEL would need to get the plans for an EVANS PRODUCT covered steel coil car and make an all new car.

Since they just acquired the MTH O scale covered steel coil car, that might be a bit difficult to make happen.

The LIONEL guys would most likely have to put the PENN CENTRAL scheme on both the Standard O 42' gondola with angled coil covers and the new O scale round cover steel coil car.

I am highly irritated that Bachmann is not yet including the Evans covered steel coil car made for K-Line in the Williams O scale line. 


The box cars are described as 8-Door 86' High-Cube Boxcars.

The Detroit & Toledo ShoreLine reporting marks are D&TS.

The K-Line by LIONEL agreement ended when Bachmann had all of the other model railroad companies move their production of the Sanda-Kan factory about 10 years ago.

Sure… and add in some Canadian military freight cars as well.

Now that you've mentioned foreign military cars, Lionel made a NATO flatcar with a British submarine in the past.... Why not go the extra mile and add some military equipment from other nations that we've fought alongside with or even against for the heck of it? Have a 6 pack of cars with one tank from each of the major nations that fought in WW2 (America, England, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy) with some addon packs featuring other vehicles from these nations like tank destroyers or halftracks.

During the Canadian Pacific's  CP Rail Multimark era they had a division called CP Transport and CP Express & Transport.

The CP Transport scheme can be applied to the O scale 40' trailers with reefers or refrigerator units.

Feel like beating a dead horse, but I'm still holding out for B36-7's with kinematic pilots and scale coupler mounting pads, and a set of NJ Transit Arrow-series MU railcars (multiple phases, too). Maybe Lionel got the MTH tooling for the L-series NYC Mohawks? Those might be nice to see with LEGACY.

For a more realistic expectation though, maybe a rerun of the Pennsylvania M1A/M1B - the latter hasn't been seen since 2008 - and the Dreyfuss Hudson with multiple tender and deco variants. Still holding out for a rerun of the F-19e Chesapeake & Ohio George Washington 4-6-2 Pacific's, too...

YES!

I mentioned this earlier elsewhere because accessories really do make it a "LIONEL" (in the old-time sense) three-rail, fun layout.

Legacy would certainly be a bonus, if do-able.

Agreed on the Dreyfuss that seems like a nobrainer with the MTH tooling. Would love to see a C&O F-19 rerun with a better whistle! I haven’t pulled the trigger on the prior version for that reason

It would be cool if they did a run of B&O P7 Pacifics and at least offered the option of any of the 20 Presidents.  I don't know if all of them would get enough orders, but it would be cool to have the option.  If they really wanted to swing for the fences, they could also offer the streamlined versions.



I'm an NYC guy, but I'd open up my wallet for a President Grant and one of the streamlined versions (any road #)
