Very nice work, Dewey. Great satisfaction has to come from a job like that. I'm glad your hands can still send us pictures, even though they can't run the saw anymore.

Great job, Dewey. Growing up in Brooklyn (NY), there was an old fashioned lumberyard on Flatbush Avenue just off Avenue L (needless to say, long before the big box stores of today). I went there a bunch of times with my dad. Your model is a great representation of what the racks in that old yard looked like (of course, the actual was quite a bit longer). I guess it was when I was in 5th or 6th grade that we were walking home after school and saw an enormous pillar of black smoke rising into the sky. The old lumberyard was on fire and there was a lot of fuel available.

Dewey, you have a very good understanding in framing a structure, building a wood scratch build structure is a rewarding experience, I also enjoy building wood framed structures. Back in 1963, as a high school freshman I built a Guillows Me-109 wood kit, the wood framing illustrated the construction of this aircraft and I never applied the tissue paper and dope to cover the structure.  I consider projects like this to be mentally challenging and personally rewarding to see the end product.
