After attending one of Jack Burgess' clinics at O Scale West on 3D printed models, I decided to try my hand at a Western Pacific boxcar built by Pullman in 1916. I will use the prints from Shapeways.com as a pattern and pour it in Urethane. These are the same cars that served the railroad for many years as outfit cars, stock cars, and of course cabooses. The side braces are Zee sections, so the addition of a piece of styrene angle will complete those on the finished model. Those would be difficult to cast in one piece. I am modeling in SketchUp, which is a free program.  -Chris
