I have one of these. I thought about selling it until it just ran it. Great sounds and smoke. The negative thing I remembered was that it’s a little wobbly, even on level Fastrack. I put a bit more spring pressure into the rear truck to keep it from bouncing as much. It’s kind of a short wheelbase issue.

@Larry.PRR Lionel has made 2 runs of the PRR E6 with Legacy. The first was 2010 and the second 2017. The "Lindbergh Special" specifically refers to PRR 460, you can find the full story behind the name here.

That being said, the Lionel "Lindbergh special" version of 460 was made in 2010. It is painted as the engine would have been in 1927.

In 2017, Lionel made 3 more PRR atlantics: PRR 460 in it's 1950s scheme, PRR 68 in a 1930ish scheme, and PRR 1163 in a 1920s (1930s?) scheme. Also in the same run, they made an E6 in a PRSL, Long island, and a fantasy Great Northern scheme.

I recommend the 2010 version which is the version I have. You can find a video of it here. I personally think that the paint quality is better.

Hope this helps you make an informed decision! Good luck with the search, these are highly coveted and hard to come by.
