But, that's not all folks !
Menards has always offered outstanding customer service as it relates to trains.
I had a minor defect with an item and customer service was overly apologetic, sent me a replacement item with priority delivery and let me keep the original item.
I would never hesitate to buy trains from Menards as they fully stand behind their products.
I give them an A+ and their service is better than some of the other larger manufacturers.

Okay....who made that distillery model at York, that l thought could probably be relettered as a brewery? It reminded me of that brick brewery in SW Wisconsin, that is now a brewery museum.
Well those who know me know the Western Maryland is my favorite road. Of course Wild Mary wears WM on his sleeve. Thank you for the giant size picture of the WM 4-bay hopper! However, those who know me also know I only run 2-bay hoppers on my 1950 era road. Well, I think Menards has just pulled me into the 60s and 70s with that one!
Bob you were so right! Rock on!!

I agree Mark, it is a nice looking hopper.
I was at the Menard's on Broad st Columbus Ohio today. They had one complete isle for trains. 90% was buildings. a few were plugged in and where cool to see in person working. Great to see some of the buildings in person....the sash building was HUGE and very nice!
I bought a new AT&SF 'box/reefer' well done. I did not ever want one but the lighted billboard at $20 was to good to pass up. Nice and heavy....very well made.
Full review and photos when I get home.
Well the delay is perfect for me, as I plan to take ownership of a new house the first week of December, so Now I can get them as a house warming gift to my self lol. I see a few I like. I really need more hoppers for my Virginian hopper train set and I like the B&M to go with my Paul Revere set. I see others i like also so I can see some additions to my collection.
Glad to see that Menards now has single dome tankers in their product line. They need to produce black single dome 50's era tankers with oil company logos such as Gulf, Sunoco, Texaco, Sinclair, the list is endless.
Bill T.
Really enjoy seeing what Menards come up with.
We have a couple of their buildings on the layout. Hope to pick up some more on a visit to the States next year.
There’s a opportunity here in the U.K. DIY market, come over here and buy Homebase

What's unusual is hearing about these before they're ready to ship . Ayup.

Always has been pins and needles for me waiting for the next announcement from Menards. Now they have added coming down the road soon. But I like the new announcements. Some good looking cars. I am with Bill T waiting for the solid black tank cars. Well done again Mark, the crew and Bob. And Bob you are one of the best secret keepers I have ever met. While it is on my mind will you be doing the Menards show again next year................Paul

Paul, I hope to be if it's the first weekend in July, if not, I'll be in Reno.
I'm with Paul; I like the new announcement system also. Actually I like it better than getting the little hints.
I see a few of the Erie Lackawanna hoppers in my future!!

They will look great,!
What would rock for those of us with no Menard's store anywhere remotely nearby would be a change in Menard's policy to permit the use of their vouchers for online sales. Nice
Or making shipping charges more reasonable.

Menards shipping department always uses the cheapest shipping to your address. For instance, I live 180 miles away and the average shipping charge on on car is 4.50. In my book, that's cheap.
Tubular Switches to match their track would be nice.
Menards, may I ask what caused the shipping delay? Also, will you not be receiving any new products until Dec. 10 2018?

Jim, they are on the water like other companys says. They have no control on shipping from China.
Is there a list of all the sets Lionel did exclusively for Menards? The SOO LINE set was the last one to be made I believe. Cabinet Bob do you think Menards would partner with again to make another exclusive set?
Terrance
Thank you CABINET BOB for answering my question.
Based on what I see every year at the Warren Ohio store: the military rolling stock is always plentiful and leftover, whereas the railroad livery rolling stock sells out quickly. I bought a Santa Fe box car 3 weeks ago, the shelf was stocked. The following week only a Milwaukee Road box car remained and a full shelf of military cars. This was happening last year as well. Routinely customers were putting 3 or more freight cars in their shopping carts. A stronger pipeline of stock may be warranted.
I have wondered about what is in the Warren store. I live a little over an hour from there. Thank you, Scott!
Mark, you should pull a Paul2, and tell the wife you need something for the house and make a trip to Menards! Call it a little road trip, bring back some duck tape or something, and tell while you were there they happened to have some train stuff out! LOL
Bob, sounds like its going to be a great Christmas for a lot of folks! Thanks Menards!
Good plan, Mike, but she may say why were you gone 3 1/2 hours when Ace Hardware is only 5 minutes away. LOL
"S" guage tubular track and switches would be nice too!
Thanks, Phil

LOL Take her with you tell her your taking to a special dinner and just happen to stop at Menards on the way! LOL
Great idea! I have to wait for those Western Maryland hoppers to make the trip to the stores!
