York train shows, never been to one

Anyone know if Alexander's has 're-booted' or morphed into a new eatery?....that's been tried?....that can be recommended?....or not?

It was so convenient.....and for most of its existence quite a tasty experience.   We would celebrate our York arrival after the 600-mile drive from Michigan with a visit to Alexander's.  Really have missed it for the last couple years.

Anyone??

It is supposed to be open by next spring as a Pizza type restaurant.  It will not be ready for  this York.

Here are some of my typical activities:

GG1 at Harrisburg Amtrak station

Be advised to get access to the Harrisburg station platforms to see/photograph the GG1 there one needs a valid Amtrak ticket. I know this from firsthand experience talking to a few Amtrak police officers at the Harrisburg station this past spring when asking about permission to see the GG1. (I was driving thru the area so naturally had no Amtrak ticket and limited time to be the area.) They did say if one checks with the stationmaster he might grant permission but rule since 9-11 is that only ticketed passengers are allowed access to the platforms.

I just got back to NC after our trip to York.....I was blown away...that was quite a site to see!.....thanks to all who gave tips and advice, it was surely put to good use! I got to meet a couple of the forum guys, so that was pretty cool. The round the clock diner was really a good place to eat...I had a blast! My wife now has begun collecting Dept. 56 stuff, so now she enjoys the time spent together.....had such a good time, now I'm sorry its over and got to go back work.......Thanks again for everyone's help.....I'm already planning for April!
