On my Spring York trip, we went to Nicholas Smith after the bandit meets, and they told us that they are done with York partially due to financial reasons (not enough sales at York to make the effort worth it and rising travel costs), but also due to staffing reasons (not enough people to staff both the store and the York booth).

I have heard from several sources that Charles Ro is done with York, as well.

That's too bad. Although I've never bought from them, they had a familiar, reassuring presence. Looks like Lou from Underground Railroad may have also. I can only hope the meet resurges going foward, and maybe our old friends will return! Still the greatest show on earth!   Mike

Underground RR was there both October and April, but I didn't see Lou there. He keeps talking about York in his collumn, but possibly with Covid he decided not to go.

I read that OGR will not have a booth this fall.  Hopefully I’ll see Alan walking around the show.

You'll see this Allan, but probably not the other Alan. Arkansas is a very long drive for him, and the expenses related to attending the meet, in light of changes in recent years, make it no longer practical for us to attend "in force." I will be there because it is only a 4-1/2 hour drive for me (albeit an expensive one given the PA Turnpike tolls these days).

Allan -Can you find a friend to travel with to share the ride and expenses?

That is what I do - a fun time in the car that makes our 250 mile ride seem to be a lot shorter too.

I'll look for you at the Fairgrounds
