More importantly to some folks, what is the wind velocity?

As long as the temps are above 40F, the Vette's tires will be happy.

Between 50 and 90 is optimum Scrapple eating temperature.  Enjoy! 

As long as the rain is not pouring down, I will just be happy to be back there again.

There always seems to be a direct correlation of the rain/wind to the value and size of the item and the distance to the car.  

That's why I try to park close to the door.

Mallard4468's corollary equation(?) is hilarious, but probably accurate. 

I keep trying to park in Siderods' favorite spot, (close to Orange Hall front doors) but he arrives too early!  The 60 degree+ weather outlook is good enough for this old dude!

In October, I parked in the second row right in front of the Orange hall.  Thought I'd scored a really good spot.  But then, my big purchase was a modern standard gauge set (huge box) - from the far corner of the Red hall!

I was watching the Horseshoe Curve Webcam last night and it was snowing, so anything is possible! 

you aren't kidding Farmer Bill!    I tuned in to that train site, maybe around 6 pm or so, and really couldn't believe it!   Eddie has to rub his lucky rabbits foot even harder!

23 and snow here today. I'll be looking forward to the warm up.

No problem, the stuff that could be ruined or corrode will be indoors, the  temperature is doable and many model RRers could stand a shower or two.   All is good.

True statistic: a forecast over 48 hours in the future has less than a 50% chance of being accurate. (Now we can discuss forecast error but I think we all get the point.)

My prediction is the temperature will be pleasant and lighting  will be bright inside the Halls!

Hokie 71, as we both know, in Blacksburg the weather can change three times in fifteen minutes.

Hope to see you in York. We plan to fly up Thursday about noon “Weather permitting.”

Well, Eddie, it looks better than your hometown forecast for 4/8...39 degree high and rain.

It going to snow tonite in Portland, then turn to rain in the morning.

Temp in the 60s with 40% chance of rain in the forecast area (not 40% probability). That means 60% of the area will have no rain. Looks pretty good to me.

Wet traction rating for the Vette's new tires 4.6/5.0. As long as we keep it under 100mph when moving between the Halls, we should be OK.

50s and 60s... I guess I will be breaking out the swim wear!

Glad to hear he made the long trip OK. He said that his daughter will be with him. Hopefully she will keep him out of trouble.

Thursday: cloudy, 60 degrees

Friday: cloudy, possible T-storm around 5pm, 67 degrees

Saturday: partly sunny, 76 degrees

Crossing fingers.  I know we aren't out of the woods yet, but right now it looks like the weather channel is just saying a small 20% chance of something on Friday and a 10% chance on Saturday.

They have much heavier Rain/Thunderstorms showing that looks like it's going to be nice enough to hold out until Sunday/Monday.

I'd say there was a 100% chance of something happening on those 2  days...sun, wind, clouds, rain...(sorry, I couldn't resist).
