Toy Train Auction in Colorado on August 23-24, 2014

Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) and the Colorado Toy Train Group, LLC (CTTG) are co-sponsoring their 9th toy train auction, August 23 and 24, 2014.  The auction will be held in Westminster, Colorado at The Ranch, 11887 Tejon Street, with viewing at 8 am each day; the auction will begin at 9 am each day.
 
Bidders will have 690 lots of O and Standard-Gauge toy trains and HO-Scale model trains to bid on.  The toy trains come from a diverse selection of manufacturers, including Lionel, American Flyer, Atlas, K-Line, Kris, Kusan, MTH, and Plasticville.  HO model trains are represented by manufacturers including Atlas, Athearn, Intermountain, Kato, and Tower 55, to name a few.
 
Prewar and post war toy trains include 13 steam engines, 11 diesels, 30+ passenger cars, and 85+ freight cars.  Highlights include the Lionel 1957 girl’s trains, ivory transformer, 226e, 228, 238e, 251, 390e, 616, 1665, 773 with a Madison Hardware 700T tender, 2332, 2383 pair, 3419 with a double-blade helicopter, and a 3435 Aquarium Car, Version D.  AF highlights are a 429, 3020, 3113, 4019, and 4040-series red passenger cars.  Modern toy trains include 9 steam engines, 31 diesel engines, 30+ passenger cars, and 125+ freight cars.  Highlights include the 51000 Hiawatha set and scale freight cars.  
 
HO model railroaders will have the opportunity to bid on 90+ modern diesels, 880+ freight cars, 200+ tractor-trailers, and a host of scenery material and layout accessories.  HO-Scale buildings and building kits are well represented. 
 
Additionally, there are 10+ Chemcraft, Mr. Wizard, and Skilcraft chemistry sets.  Numerous railroad books are included in this auction.
