This is my problem, I have a small track, with a TIU, an AIU and my Lionel legacy, all connected, my AIU accessory control 3 blocks in my yard, and all worked fine, I decide to add a MTH WIFI module to the system, and I update to version 5. After that when I power a block with a MTH engine on it, the engine start thinking as it is in a AC track, that mean, at the moment I power the track, the engine start, and it is suppose to do nothing until I start it with the control. The engine start in a neutral, and with the remote control only control bell and whistle (the shut down too), nothing else. If I restart the engine with the control remote, it's works fine. Same for all my MTH engines, I try this:

1- connect the track directly to the TIU, and power up. Works as expected!!

2- change the power of track to another fixed channel, using AIU accessories, same problem.

3- use toggle switches instead of AIU, same problem.

4- change power supply, and same problem.

My Lionel engines work as expected.

Any suggestion, exist any way to return to DCS version 4.

thank you

Marco,

Whenever a track is powered on via a switch (or an AIU port) after the TIU channel itself has been powered on, the bring will always come up in conventional mode because it missed the watchdog signal.

This has nothing to do with adding a WIU, except for, perhaps, one small item.

If a Rev. L TIU is not connected to a power source via its Aux. Power port, the TIU will instead be powered via the USB connection to the WIU. In this case, if the siding being toggled- is on some channel other than Fixed #1, the TIU will be powered via the WIU, however, there isn't enough power for the TIU's DCS signal generators.

In this case, strange things, such as what you're experiencing, can occur.
