Is there anyone who has an extra DCS manual for sale. The on line download is at least on my computer, is poor. I have Barry`s book but my grandson lost my MTH manual.= hence my request.

Honestly, if you have my book you really don't need the manual.
Schumann,
If you want to invest in something else and not waste your hard earned money, I recommend the OGR Video Guide to DCS, if you are a visual type person this is a great educational video. Not quite the full coverage of Barry's book, but a fantastic educational DCS video in itself. Forget about the manual.

These 2 are all you will ever need for DCS until the DCS is updated.

I think Barry's book is better too, but here it is on line DCS Manual you can save it as a .pdf file. It can then be read from your computer or printed.
His original post stated, I thought, that he already had the manual s a pdf.

Hmmm...I guess he did say that. He musta slipped that one in on me while I wasn't looking? Either that or I will blame my poor eyesight. That should get me out of this...
I'm curious why the PDF manual is not readable on his computer, I think that's the real question. That makes no sense to me.
I don't argue that Barry's book is a good investment when running DCS, but he should at least be able to read the MTH manual anyway.

I have an original 2002... You can have it, send address. granclemmens@otmail.com
Gregg,
2002?
Wow, that manual probably references, at best, DCS 3.0 and maybe even 2.2!

Even comes with a bit of peanut butter and jam. Just kidding! I think 2.2 although no mention of a tiu reset?
Gregg,
I have a DCS manual of that vintage, myself. I should probably donate it to the Smithsonian museum!
Guys be kind, the DCS Manual is for my 95 year old father. After my grandson lost the original DCS Manual, I let him borrow my Barry`s companion book and he did not have the patience to nor the technical skill to understand all that was going on in this wonderful book.

Here's the latest manual from the MTH site reformatted to full 8.5x11 format. If you print this, it'll be better than the manual for older eyes, everything will be bigger. If your printer supports it, you can print it double-sided and make it less bulky.
I missed where we were not kind...

In addition to GRJ's nicely formatted pdf manual, he might like the OGR video that Pine Creek RR mentioned above. That explains quite a few things and Rich does a good job of presenting the info.
Not to knock the video, however, it's woefully out of date. It deals with DCS 3.1, which has many fewer features than do the newer releases (4.00 - 4.30).
The video is probably about 7 or 8 years old.
Barry,
Yes the video is older and I wish Rich would up date it, however it shows visually how to set up the DCS system from the very beginning, this education will never really go out of date, all the other up grades can be learned as the owner goes along & gains more experience, the over all information is still great stuff and timeless beginner set up information, in a visual format. Still well worth the cost of ownership.
For this reason I recommend owning and using both your DCS O Gauge Companion book and the OGR Video Guide to DCS. Both are great educational information.

I know that is correct, but they were looking for easy, I just thought it would be easier to watch than read? An updated video with the latest features would be nice.
Thank folks, for all your help concerning the DCS Manual. Someone has been kind enough to offer a older one to my father for free, that with my knowledge and Barry`s book which I have, will certainly help him out.
