I have a problem with my Christmas lights. We had the power go out the other night and one set of lights bit the dust. They are all LEDs that I try to use. There's a dead short in the brand new set now. The fuses blow the second it gets power. I was looking all over for some sign of the short. It occurred to me that the LEDs might have failed in shorted mode? I think there might have been a surge when the power blew.

I seem to remember GGG telling me the other day that the diodes (LEDs) can fail and usually are open, but they can fail shorted?? Am I remembering this correctly?? We were discussing the functions on the PS boards before. I'm using all LEDs where I can in installs and have something new to watch out for??
