Thanks everyone for the help here! Rick I appreciate your great offer. I'm trying to find the 6 UP Heritage units that commemorate the railroads UP has merged with.

If by chance you have any of those or know where I can find one I'll get it right now.

Collecting in 2-rail isn't easy but that's what makes it fun.

Thanks again you guys!!

Chuck

Patience is the only thing I can advise on this one. When I bought my first MTH Scale-wheeled diesel back in 2009 and had such positive results in operation at the club, I decided at that point that I would replace my UP/CNW heritage unit with a scale-wheeled unit. It has taken almost five years to get them all with several close-but-no cigar auctions. Hang in there. You'll get them.

I am doing this too, collecting the 6 scale wheel-fixed pilot heritage units.  So far I have the Katy and CNW.  But I am annoyed at having to fix the bad snowplow and so I am trying to collect the rest in ps3, so they will have the correct snowplow.  That means I am going to have to wait a few more new MTH catalogs, if they continue to re-issue them one per-catalog like they have been doing.

Chuck, I sent you an email with a few ideas.

Hi Martin,

Just a suggestion, contact MTH about the snow plows for the SD70ACe's in 2-rail.

Regards,
Frank

Frank, I emailed them a while ago and its $15 if I want a replacement.  I just redrilled the mounting holes and moved on with my life.

Snowplows aside, I'd still rather hold out for the no-battery convenience of ps3

Guys I appreciate the inputs here.

Is MTH in the process of reissuing these locos? I just downloaded the MTH catalogs from 2007 to 2014 but haven't had a chance to go through them. Is the 2014 CNW a reissue?

That would be great if these keep coming.  Otherwise it's going to take quite an effort to find all 6.

Again thanks!

The CNW SD70ACe in the 2014v2 catalog is the Proto-3 reiussue. I have the Katy Proto-3 reissue and it is a very nice locomotive. One change they did make was they removed the sun shades from the sides of the cab. They can be a bit delicate and will come off of the locomotive derails and rolls over.

I checked it out fully. Status of the patient is...PS 2.0. High Rail wheels. No Plow.  In Scale Wheels box.  Otherwise NIB and yes...one beautiful MTH engine.

Considering above ...I would take the retail hit and go below retail at $400.  $10 ship.

Check of M.O. only...no Paypal please.

Please let me know guys.  I only have this one left after selling multiples of each road.

Thank you,

Rick

Thanks for the efforts Rick! I'll pass as I'm looking for scale wheels.

Take care.

Chuck
