Gentlemen,

I am searching for one of these units. The guys say the new ones will arrive in September, but they all said that in May. The new ones are 30-20279-1. I can't even find anyone who will sell me an older 20-20264-1. Both are PS-3, which I prefer to have to run multiple trains on the same 100 ft. track. I've also seen some on youtube made in 2010. They are gorgeous with the chrome style on the sides. Does anyone have any info on:

1.) Who might have one of these to sell?

2.) When the new models will actually be delivered to the dealers?

You guys are definitely the ones to ask and I would appreciate your advice.

Couple of things here. The first model you mention is a Railking F3 (probably RK scale but I don't have a catalog in front of me) while the second model you mention is a Premier F7. I get the impression that what you want is the Warbonnet scheme and you're less concerned about the specific engine that it's on. With respect to Proto3, if you're running DCS you'd be able to run multiple trains with Proto2 as well. If you're open to Proto2 then there's a host of engines that might fit the bill for you, and much more cheaply. Anyway, I would counsel you to be a little more specific (or less, as the case may be <g> in defining what you want and you'll probably have more success.

Quite correct. It is the warbonnet scheme I'm looking for. Thanks...It seems my specificity, or lack of, has, so far, yielded the same result I've been experiencing. "Hope," as Richard Widmark expressed in 'The Halls of Monteczuma,' "is the mother of all men." I, like so many, agree that this model engine is the best of alltime. I have three of them, but none in command and control. PS 2, like the 20046, would be fine, but...

Maybe. I have two layouts, one double tracked, 7 inches from the ceiling, which is all MTH. The other is 40 inches off the floor, much larger, and all conventional Lionel. I have the cab 1 and 1L for the conventional, but really need odessey speed control for any new engines.

Please let me know the particulars, a photo would help.
