In 2003, Lionel came out with a Nickel Plate tmcc Berkshire based off the 779. From what I've seen it seems like a pretty decent model; I would like to see some pictures and videos if any one has any that they are able to share. Would like some opinions on the model from anyone who has it.

All you need to do is check out the latest Legacy NKP Berk or for that matter, any of the newest Legacy steams to get a mirror image snapshot of their older TMCC counterparts.
With exception of electronic upgrades nothing has changed.
I have the #779. For me, its no different then any of my other TMCC steams, bulletproof!!.
IMO, for those like me who appreciate visual substance and find it more important then sound enhancement, and taking into account current street prices, any of the older TMCC steamers offer the best value for the buck in O gauge today.

If the Erie #3315 is one of them, seen here in the foreground for a close look, entering a service yard, it is an absolutely dependable and real-looking engine, IMO, which has not been off the layout for ten ears.
And I agree w/ Doug N. about its whistle - my favorite.
