I am thinking about purchasing NJ International Crossbucks #3095 for my layout. On the website it says to use the flashmaster #8003 with the crossbucks. I have an extra Lionel 153ir  which I would prefer to use to save money.  I was wondering if it can be usd with the Lionel 153ir?  Also if anybody likes or dislikes this product( crossbucks or the crossing gates)?

Thank you, Mike

Mike you have to use the flasher board or your flasher won't flash its easy to hook up and you can use the lionel 153IR controller so train will turn it on and off. I have a couple N.J. Crossing signal in O and N scale colored signal and crossing both work real well. Here is a link what i used and cheaper http://www.modeltrainstuff.com...r-p/cir-800-5102.htm

Thank you for the information I will try it. I purchase a lot of stuff from modeltrainstuff.com actually just got a delivery from them today. Small world.

Mike from the flasher board theres a plus and minus sign. Hook the plus wire to the 153IR where it says (no) normally open and the minus wire hook to the acc ground and are you running this off of track power or other power supply. If you are running off of other power you need to hook up two wires to A and U on the 153IR then hook it up to your power supply and make sure your switch on the 153IR is switched to acc power not track power. If running off of track power you don't need to hook wires up to the A and U just leave your switch to track power it runs off of track power. Also polarity on the wires are important and run your 153IR on AC only the flasher board will run on AC or DC.

Thanks Jeff, I will be running the 153ir off a power supply not track power. When I am done I will send photos.

Thanks again,

Mike
