It would be a long, long trip from deep in S. GA to York, but I intend to go in the Fall. My question is: Is there an onsite area for small (16 ft.) self-contained (no sewage,water, electricity required) egg style camper? If water, power are available, that's OK, I'll take it. OK without.
If so, I presume reservations are necessary. Also, to whom would the reservation request be directed ?
A relative 'newbie' on the forum....
Any info. will be helpful.

Short answer is yes, you can do this. Details on camping reservations are found on the TCA Eastern Division (sponsors of York Meet) website.
Camping is inexpensive -- I think it's $40-45 total for up to 3 nights (Wed/Thurs/Fri) of the meet. Don't quote me on that as I've never actually camped there.

Cost is $40. Can arrive Tues and stay next to grandstands. Gates open 9:00 Wednesday and you have your choice of four areas; three have water and electrical, one full hookups.
Everyone was very nice to work with. You will enjoy it.

Mike...I think you got that wrong...I pay 40.00 and that includes water and electric...at least I think so ? my wife pays it for me and I don't ask...I have camped there the last 3 Yorks.

Hmmmm....that's the way I understood it. If the electric came with the fee I'll be bummed, since I could have had a faster phone charger (and maybe a small heater)

Some of the attendees would need to pay at least a dollar.

I saw you walk right by my camper door on Thursday...I was on the phone with my mother at the time (my father took a spill last week) and she was complaining about his situation so I couldn't call out to you...I figured I would see you later but it didn't happen...
I was going to suggest that you bunk with me in my camper,I had plenty of room and the dinette folds into a nice size bed....Quite frankly I don't know how you stood the wind and the cold in that tent...I give you a lot of credit !
