My wife and I attended a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert in Reading PA Wednesday evening. It a great show with tons of visual graphics on large display screens. One of the musicial numbers featured images and video of a train traveling through snow covered mountains and valleys. The steam locomotive was not numbered, but pulled coaches in a blue and maroon paint scheme that left no doubt that the video was inspired by The Polar Express.

There is another group that started as a tribute band doing TSO music that has since written original music and choreographed its own original show. I wish I could remember the name?

It's not that group, and it's not 12/24. I'll probably wake up in the middle of the night with an epiphany, but by morning I will have forgotten again! I'll look in the news paper from a few days ago, that's where I read it.

We were at the show Wednesday night in Reading also.  Spectacular as always!  During their last song of the evening, Chris Caffery (the lead guitarist) was roaming the arena while playing and came up to our section and was playing right in front of us. I'm not one who gets caught up in celebrities, but he is a pretty cool guy, acknowledging some wheelchair bound folks nearby.

What I noticed about the steam loco on the video screen was that the drive wheels were moving in reverse!  lol

Just back from the 3PM show in CT. Great as always.. I too noticed the reverse drive wheels.

I have lost count as to the number of times we have seen TSO. I think this shows was especially good.

My wife and I saw TSO last Saturday (11/21) in Greensboro, NC along with our daughter and her boyfriend, and another couple.

My wife and I have seen them at least once every year since 2005.  Their concert is always one of the highlights of the Christmas season for us.

I was thrilled about the train this year.
