They are rubbing the truck. There is wear on the inside of the wheels on one side and metal dust. Wear is only on one side. It runs fine in reverse with torque pulling the wheel sets away from the worn bushings. The unit looks to have been rewired and tuned to address the issue. It is really clean and well done otherwise.
