Wow....gorgeous engine.....I wonder if something that is grounded is grazing the middle rail on the curves. I have had the good fortune to see Gilly@N&W's run on the 081 curves of our modular layout......even on O81, the overhang is huge. I say this with a grain of salt.....I am no repair person by any means. I wish you luck.
