For the DZ-1000, the red wire goes to one side of the transformer, and then the yellow or green wires are connected to the other side to operate the motor. Alternately connecting them will move the arm and lever back and forth if they work. They operate on 12-20 VAC.

This is a "complete" wiring diagram for the DZ1000 with the associated pushbutton switch.
