Two totally different locomotives as far as factory options go,….the 18005 ( 700E ) is conventional only, and the sounds are pretty archaic, and not up to today’s standards,….but the 700E is a sweet runner out the box, with a little maintenance done if it’s never been run.  The 18056 ( 763 ) is also a good runner, but has added features of TMCC, and an upgraded Railsounds package as opposed to the 18005, the 763’s tender has the most fragile handrails I’ve ever come across, so be aware of that. As far as looks dept. toss a coin, they’re both highly detailed with lots of add on goodies,…..you can’t really go wrong with either one, do note the 763 has Boxpok drivers, and the 700E has spoked drivers,……
