hello all, i’ve read a lot about the numbers under the bottom plate of the CW 80 transformers. it appears that those prefixed with the letter “G” are a little less troublesome. I replaced the fan and voltage regulators in that one and just purchased a second one that needs nothing. I just wonder about the numbers; the first one is “G 0306 “ the one I just purchased is G 0307” any significants in that or just coincidence?

Are the first two numbers the month of production and the second the year? That would mean that yours were made in March 2006 and March 2007.

not sure what the numbers mean but i’ve heard that the “G” revision is improved over the first design. I have two CW 80 that do all there supposed to but bomb out trying to fire a post war air whistle but I can live with that my TW and LW fire the post war air whistle with perfection so I have a nice combination of power for the stuff I have
