Wow Patrick'.. Boraxo'... I haven't seen that in years'.. My Mom used it years and years ago'..... My wife informs me, it is still sold in certain stores'...

Dick Powell, I had to think on that. I remember The Old Ranger and I see Ronald Reagan hosted and acted too. I looked it up and saw Dick Powell hosted and acted in The Zane Gray Theater and did act in some Death Valley Days episodes. We didn’t get a television until 1963, but watched at my grandma’s house. Having grown up on the farm in the 1890s and handled the team pulling the wagon, she liked seeing the horses trot or prance, but didn’t like it when there was a chase pushing the horses.

Back in 1977. I was in Death Valley on a road trip. To my surprise there is a locomotive for the borax mines there at a visitor center and the thing that blew my young mind was there was FISH in a spring fed stream there also. Scottys Castle in the valley was the same way. Fun to visit but not for me.
We didn’t have a television when I started first grade in ‘62. Kids talked about shows I couldn’t see. We did have one when John Kennedy was assassinated over a year later.

Thanks, that's exactly what I'm working for.
In fact, I'm writing a book which would feature such photos presented as "found" photos from the 40s.

Lee, nothing like a 50's version "Studebaker!"...I've heard training is probably more stressful than driving...
Wish I had more New Haven rolling stock...my grandfather put in 40 years with them...lots of great memories of the "line!"

FOR TODAY: On this overcast morning, Patapsco and Back Rivers VO1000 assigned to scrap yard duty gets the job done ... as Mr. Bo ( a Baltimore landmark of the National Bohemian Brewing Co ) keeps an eye on things!

mike g, you could get a Lionel locomotive with Bluetooth and run it with the LionChief app on your smartphone. You don’t get all the features that you do with Legacy but more than running conventional and it’s sure a lot cheaper.

Very busy today sorry so late. Yesterday I dropped this Chassis to be stacks. You have to Parallel park the Chassis to be stacked to make the Yard mans job easier. Trust me they remember who takes care of them and who just don’t care.

Lee, thanks for your work ethic's! I remember when I use to load dump trucks some just wouldn't care and thats why they would get dirt or gravel down the side of there bed, others who cared wouldn't get a drop of dirt on there trucks!
