I would like to close the gap between each car on a RailKing Aerotrain.  I was wondering if any of you have put Kadee couplers on yours.  The #805 metal couplers are the ones I was thinking of using.  I understand that I would increase the minimum curve requirement so it would no longer run on O-31.  It would run on my FasTrack O-60 and O-72 curves.

Putting kadees on the coaches is straightforward.  And it brings them much closer together for a more streamlined look.

Putting a kadee on the locomotive requires some (unorthodox) modifications to the kadee, the rear truck, and the shell.  I wrote an article for O Scale Trains, which you might find useful:  OST #59, Nov-Dec 2011. (Hope OGR does not mind me referring to another magazine)

My converted coaches will run around a 36" radius curve.  Probably not a whole lot less.  But I have not tested to be sure
