Hello, I am looking buy a Sun coast Models 200 ton concrete coaling tower.

I thought that Suncoast tower had been reissued (by somebody) and was available...probably at a contemporary price..l just want wooden ones, and that a single chute for a branch line, and have bashed one, waiting on parts to complete. I saw that Suncoast tower more than once in the evil internet auction.

They still show it as being available. Give them a call.

The web site does not list a price nor description so it seems the kit may be discontinued. You can try contacting them -

I am finishing up on two models - one from a kit and one scratched built. Once complete I will post a 'how to' for this structure. If you do get hold of a kit please note that if built to kit instructions the structure will be too low to allow some of the newer full scale locomotives to pass underneath. At least an extra inch of height should be designed in. I am not also too fond of mixing wood and plastic since super glue is needed but has proven to have strong but somewhat brittle joints. The new design is all plastic.
Joe
Both coal towers side by side
Kit design - smoke stack hits
Re-design to increase height.

Lots of HO, could not find O scale. Thank You, Melvin
Thank to all. Sam in communication with a fellow who has one for sale.

Yes, there is a lot of HO on the site, and N, also. The O scale is in there, you have to take the time to scroll through it all. They do have them, just takes time to locate. Would be nice if they had a search feature, or listed the products by scale... but, they do not.

I will be scratch building the DM&IR concrete coaling tower it was located in Proctor Mn. Similar to the Suncoast rendering of their future concrete coaling tower. I'am looking for coaling tower parts? Chutes, counter weights, pulleys & misc. etc.

Gerry:
I believe you can buy everything from Grandt Line. WRT counter weights I use beads from Hobby Lobby.
