Compatible with dcs?

I've run LC+ with DCS without any issues, but I figured that it made sense to mention the possibility of LC+ locomotives interfering with the DCS signal.  It a situation similar to TMCC/Legacy stuff, some do, some don't.

John, they play well together.

John, I felt strong throwing that out as I see a large number of those engines.  BTW, I do not own one.

I own exactly one, the Camelback LC+.  I'll probably pick up the universal remote now that it's compatible with all LC and LC+, it will be useful in service work.

The Lionel universal remote is one great item for the bench.  It is made well and works perfect.  Before that came out, I would have engines come to me with people complaining about remote operation and they never sent the remote with the engine.

Marty & John,

Got to say I like my Universal Remote very much, and I want to pick up a Camel Back similar to John's in the near future.  This purchase of a new home and the moving has me strapped right now!  It will happen however.

Never worry about what other people think, be strong and walk in the way of the Lord.

I'd warn you of a couple things if they are correct?

Some Lionel equipment should not be used with over 18 volts on the track. I lost some with no warning, and no nothing!

The choke should be used if a piece lowers the signal level to any DCS engines.

Our grandson just got a Polar express that must have been old stock. The speaker blew out in the first day. So I'd have to recommend turning down the volume on those until I learn more about them.

Why go back to DCC when I have DCS!

GRJohn; in your 10/11/17 comment you said all LC & LC+ are compatible with the Universal remote. I have printout list of which engines are compatible and which are not. Am I missing something? Is there some way to run all LC with the universal remote?

There was an update to the firmware of the Universal remote to cover the list you mention.  There may be one or two they missed, but for the most part, with the 1.1 firmware update, all are compatible.
