Hey all,

I bought a 1218 with Seattle passenger cars at a train show.  The engine barely sputters down the track.  When I test it off the track with leads touching frame and rollers the wheels spin fine.  I noticed after running on the track that 1 roller is hot, 1 is not.  The roller not working seems to have no spring action - pulls toward the motor frame rather than towards the track.  What's the best way to fix this?  I did not attempt bending it yet because I don't want to damage it by doing it incorrectly.

Also, can anyone tell me the year this set was produced?

Thanks, Don

Sorry my bad, they are not Seattle cars.  It's a 1205, 1206 (with pickup and light), 1306.

Loco is black, cars are red with black roof.  I'm wondering if this is a real set or not.  Also maybe the light was added to the observation?  For sure the pickup roller is new but the copper contact could be orig, riveted to frame.
