I have a weaver detailed interior caboose. Yesterday I went to go run it and one truck fell off. I found the issue was that the rubber type shaft that holds the wheel on had fallen into the caboose. I got all the under body parts of, couplers, trucks, plastic frame, and I cant figure out how to take the shell off from the under piece. If anyone here has done it id really appreciate someone telling me how they did it.

How old is the caboose, all of the one's I had the shell just came right off. I have one left in 2 rail that my son wants to keep, I would have to go dig it out. But I will get to it later today, I have some errands to run now.

You are talking about a Northeast (Reading) Standard type caboose. Right?
I asked someone in my TCA division the same question a few years ago. This was his reply.
I separated the base from the caboose shell, by first gently pulling the top of the ladders and the support poles from their holes on each end of the car. These are not glued, but be very careful not to use too much force, so as not to break the fragile pieces.
Next, carefully, with your fingers or a very small flat blade screwdriver, pry the side of the body away from the base. I was able to do this without tools. Note: the ends of the body have small plastic tabs to align the body on the frame, so don't pry from the ends of the car. After one side is released, do the same to the other side. Once both sides are released, the entire frame (including trucks, ladders and vertical supports) come off as a single assembly.
