Sorry, did not get those buildings, I but I did recently receive:

* Filling Station: all plastic, nice, but no back to the building

* Door factory:  100% plastic but nicely detailed, very well assembled.  Wonderful value - very happy with this one.

These were very well packed, no damage -  lots of protection.

Menards is not very clear about what the power supply is for

their buildings with lights and the Miller beer sign.

There is a small black jack on the side of the building for a 5VDC power source.

The 4.5V wart that Menards sells has 4 connectors that will fit the building

plug but it is unregulated and under little load the voltage is too high.

You can get a 5V cell phone charger at Walmart for $6 and the plug at RS

or a 5V supply with the correct connector and runs off a transformer from

Miller engineering.

The LEDs and the sign will operate off of a single 5VDC supply connected to

the single black jack on the side of the building.

The building has only one power hook-up...the 4.5VDC port on the back of the building. There are two independent on-off switches next to the port. One for the beer sign and the other for the lights should you choose to turn either or both off.

I powered my building with one of the plugs from a Lemax 3-plug 4.5VDC wall wart (plug-in wall transformer) like this:

These are usually used to power Lemax 4.5VDC accessories like Multi LED billboards.

I have no ill effects from using this supply.

I can't really say whether or not the Menard's supply would damage the beer sign as I have not tried it. However they show this power source on-line as the power pack to use with this building:

Youse pays your moneys and youse takes your chances!

I would think if that recommended power pack ruined the beer sign Menards would have to eat that return.
