Over the Christmas Holiday I scratch built this signal tower. Its not exactly to O scale but very close. I put 4 LEDS in it.

I couldn't buy one like it.  Just wanted to share this with the forum. I would love to build things like this for a living. This is a prototype. I learned a lot while building it. Everything is scratch built from the control room on the second floor to the gutters and street lamp except for the hanging sign that says Loganville named after my 7 yr old grandson. Its all made of bass wood paper glue and clear plastic I took from a box car packaging.  The bricks and roof are resized and printed then applied with Elmers glue and sealed with it also. The leds I purchased from Evan Designs out of Colorado. They are 19v capable and work very well. With track acc or a 9 volt for portability and display.

Thank you and i have been calling it a signal tower.   Thats right it is a switch tower. My father worked for Railway Express for many years before they went bankrupt in the early 70s.  Then since it was a railroad associated job they assigned him to the Roundout switch tower which was a major intersection. I rember visiting it as a kid.

Question. At CG textures which should I download for o scale images.  Working on number 2.  This one is a prototype for a possible marketing opportunity.   I may sell these if people are interested.  This one is going to be much closer to scale and what a real switch tower lookEd like. I already have over 200 scratch buildt pieces in this one and im just getting started. I sure can't charge by the hour.  This switch tower iscratch similar to a large yard like in Chicago in the late 1800s early to mid 30s.  There on the top floor area 13 individual windows and frames scratch built and a door. I hope it turns out well.  I just need some textures at CG textures. Com but I need the scale to match so not sure if it will without doing a pet screen and resizing 20170108_21545620170110_10502220170110_10474420170110_16083920170110_104936the
