I wont be home until Saturday, I will try then if nobody else does before then. I have the Union Pacific version of both, In MY OPINION, the Mikado jr is the winner in all categories, better detail, smoother running, better pulling, and my Mike jr has Railsounds vs. the Berk jr having Trainsounds, so again a better sound system. different years and roadnames got differing sound systems, TMCC, CONV, and now LC/LC+, so you definitely need to research a particular model before buying to make sure you KNOW, Exactly what you are getting.

Please don't take my comments about the Berk too harshly, I do have a couple of them, and DO LIKE them, but compared to the Mike, they come in second.

I took some not so good photos as I finally cleaned up the Christmas display.  Both the B&O Mike and the PRR Berk are conventional with the exact same TS.  Both are around 10 yrs old.

Thanks.  The Jr. Mike looks good.  I like the handrails on the front of it that the Berk doesn't have, but I like the bell in front of the Berk.  I have 2 Jr. Berks (Pennsy and NKP) but no Mikes.

What track are you using.  I like it.

Those aren't handrails, they're pilot deck braces.

Decision made.  I'm sticking with the PRR Jr Berkshire instead of switching to the PRR Jr Mikado.  I like the looks and the Railsounds 5.0 of the Jr Mikado, but that diesel-horn-masquerading-as-a-steam-whistle is a deal killer for me.

I'm going to sell my gently-used WBB O27 Chessie Hudson and use the proceeds for a LionChief Plus Chessie Jr Mikado.  The whistle seems more realistic, and I don't mind the idea of a separate remote controller.
