Was running my Crocodile at the Big Train Show Saturday and it started slowing down after a half hour so I parked it. Anyone have similar experiences with these? The running gear is very free. Not sure if it's the can motor or electronics. Guess I could start by disconnecting the board and put in a rectifier alone and test it? If the issue persists, it would have to be the motor

Suggestions?????

Found this when I opened it up. The bare spot was up against one of the tall components. Probably melted the insulation. Hopefully some insulation will help.

That looks like the effect of a over heating problem not the cause. What component was that hot?

The red wire was touching one of the heat sinks on one of the TIP 127's

I got a video from your YouTube account on the green steamer acting up. My guess on that may be the tach reader or maybe the tape on the flywheel.
