No, I don't think so. There just stickers. Not painting a whole unit.

Some people seem lost without a sarcasm meter...

I appologize Jeff. I did not mean to be sarcastic. I don't think it's a waist of money. I think CSX is doing a great job on these stickers. Only reason I mentioned about the price is because is because a sticker is a lot cheaper then painting a whole engine. Acctually the stickers make more sense. CSX wants to do it differently then UP and NS. Which is why the 4 major Class 1 railroads are different then each other. All we have left now since CSX is commerating the past Fallen Flag along with NS & UP is that BNSF does something to. That could even be stickers as well.

My 2 cents or less,  CSX appears to be on life support.   They are trying to sell abandoned right away here in Central Florida.    Hope they make it..................   but I don't think heritage paint schemes are the priority these days as much as I would love to see a new AC diesel with Chessie colors on it...............

It's CSX's railroad, they can run it how they like.

I found myself thinking the same thing.  All that a heritage paint scheme does is please us railfans.   However; I’d imagine an investment in Public Relations is something the railroads are starting to take more seriously.   With the current regulations in the industry I’m sure a positive public opinion may be helpful down the road.  Maybe???  A shiny diesel looks more fuel efficient, even if it is not!  LOL.

The lines that Florida made an offer for was as someone at Jacksonville said it was an offer CSX couldn't refus.

Nothing to apologize for.  No one thought you were being sarcastic, Stuart's post was the sarcasm.
