Barry, were all 3 rails stainless?? because if you they were stainless phantom (black center rail) then  the center (DCS signal) rail was not stainless because you can't get a stanless black phantom rail from gargraves that's why I went with all 3 stainless so that the center rail was also stainless even though I would have much rather had the black center rail.

Not at all! Any input/advice is great! You made me think that maybe some of my track ends are not tight around the track pins in some areas. Not sure if that will have anything to do with signal issues.

So, if you have good connections through the track sections  and your wiring is sound then you should be fine.

Any loose connections in the track or in the wiring will cause higher impedance and erratic signal propagation and may cause unreliable loco operation.

Barry, I use all Ross now with DZ1000 switches but man I have to say I have had nothing but problems with a lot of those switch machines. They don't always throw and even Ross said that they have had bad batches of those switch machines. I have lost 1 engine (MTH E8 Set) because of this.

What are the issues of Atlas switches?

Barry, John and all the rest who have been very helpful with your suggestions.

I received my new TIU Rev L and removed my Rev 13 so now I have 2 rev L's. I then upgraded the new TIU to version 4.3 so now both TIUs are version 4.3 and set them both to super mode. I also removed all the magic lights since they are no longer required with ver. L

Here is the wonderful news (don't want to jinx it) I tested some of my engines so far and I have to say that now since both are rev L's I am now getting the big 10 signal. I don't think I ever had such a good signal on my layout.

For all of you who are having DCS signal issues I highly recommend you replace your TIUs with all rev. L's. This may resolve your issues as it seemed to resolve mine. I was so happy I was screaming last night while my engines were running properly for once around the layout without any noticeable signal drops.

I will try to do some more testing over the weekend with my other engines.
