I see on the MTH Facebook page a post from the NMRA National Train Show in Portland Or. showing some photos, one of which is the new WiFi box. It appears the box is the same as the current TIU/AIU box. It also appears both Dave Krebiehl and Andy Edleman were there demoing the new DCS app. It sounds like both are in the final stages of beta or even finalized. Whatever the case it appears they are getting close to meeting their intended launch goals and I'm hoping for some 'good news' announcements at the upcoming York show. My box is already on b/o.

Jim,

It's similar but smaller.

The only "testing" is being done internally by MTH. I would designate that as an "alpha test".

At present, the official beta test has not yet begun. However, that could change within the next week or so.

Based on it's history this is a natural assumption. Personally I've always felt it will be here when it's here, take your time, get it right. There are a lot of anxious people out there and MTH know it. I have worked in product development and it usually is a very frustrating, time consuming, and expensive process before fruition. All I can say is, signs are again encouraging and I hope some of us will be graced with a nice Christmas present. Patience, patience, patience, and ya I know 'easier said than done'.
