I did every year at this same time.

Opening the DSMR's ex-Colorado Midland model railroad layout in the basement of Denver Union Station the Friday after thanksgiving was our Christmas season opener. I would do all kinds of fun holiday themes. Another member Connie don't recall her original last name made a very charming Christmas tree vendor display with lights. It was great. I miss these times. We had a great time with that layout my wife and I.

I have a permanent layout with scenery.    So no, I don't do any Christmas decorations at this time of year on the layout.    I just don't have the space and I don't want to remove/change existing scenery.    I like the idea of the Christmas tree sales lot.   That is a neat Idea.

I don't set up anything special for Christmas.   I used to put up a train layout with my old lionel around the tree, but I have not done it for about 5  years.    I have given my son  a lionel set from my old stuff and my job is to maintain and advise on that.    And now with the grandkids, we usually spend Christmas at one or the other of our children's house anyway.

I have seen some photos of Christmas theme 2-rail layouts in magazines and videos.  Most of these were built years ago and the tradition has been maintained by new volunteers.

I have been to many train shows all over the country.  I have never seen a 2 rail O scale themed Christmas layout in person.  I was at the Cal-Stewart meet in Ontario, CA last weekend.  There was a wonderful and huge 3-rail Christmas layout but nothing in 2 rail.  I don't recall seeing any 2-rail O gauge layout at the show.  There were layouts in S, N, Standard O, and Lego gauge.

I think the answer to your question is that 2-rail Christmas O gauge layouts are probably out there but they are very few in number.

Several other folks and I set up a Christmas garden at a local winery in their wine tasting room. Since we all are 2 railers the layout was 2 rail - 8 feet by 16 feet.

Due to the winery owners needing the space for other events we will not be setting it up this year.

I refer to my own train layout as a 2 rail Christmas garden that stays up year 'round.

Like many other Christmas gardens the trains just go around in a circle.
