"tanks" Jim. Like the reefer train. I have a long set too and its tempting not to run them at 'express' speed!
I dig anything with more than 2 trucks or 16 wheels.
Jon - as soon as I get up off the floor from laughing, I'm sending this picture to my friend that can't quit buying reefers.

Fantastic, Jim

I suffer the same affliction, Art. One's not enough, two's too many, three's not nearly enough!
Hi Jim • It is always fun to see your layout. Two cool freight trains in action.
My favorite video from your channel is "Sights of the City". Modeling major cities is very difficult and complex modeling.
I have posted the embedded link to this video for the Forum Members to see for the first time or just watch again. This is a YT Public Video, and can be shared.
Hmmmm. Makes me want to build a train of my stocks.

It could be worse. You could not just be a reefer addict, but you could be an ALCO-holic too!
To get back on track with the original post, I guess my favorite freight cars are boxcars. Back in my On30 days though, I was in the dumps, scratch-built gable bottom side dump cars that is.
My favorite freight is coal! Long coal drags! Black Diamonds! That's is why I ended up with about 600+ coal cars.
...keep the rails polished...
Gary,
Thanks for the link to one of my other YT videos. That one was shot years ago with my old "no Def" camera.
Unfortunately, that city scene is categorized now as "things that aren't there anymore", but it was fun building.

Sweet! Those are also my two favorite types of freight cars. Your posts always put a smile on my face Thanks Jim!

Nice going Jim.
Let's see...realistic scenery, slow train speed, prototypical length trains and a HD camera on a tripod.
Keep up the good work!
TJ
Real nice Jim!! Amazing picture quality to highlight your great scenery!
Jim,
nice videos, I always appreciate your layout!
Lots of color there Jim
my favorite is the tankcar, especially those with the large domes like this:
I only have 6 tankcars though, need more! I have even less reefers, 2 I think, but I've seen some from Buffalo Creek Graphics that I may have to get.
I like reefers and tank cars too, Jim.

Very nice video.
Thank you, guys.
I'll have to get the video camera out more often.
Jim
Lancer,
I like the 50's era logging cars and the Hoppers the loggers use to fill with cut burning lumber, it smelled so good it was unbelievable. When I was a boy you could see them here in Potter County, Pa all over the rails, burning lumber to heat homes with, in the big gray colored hoppers, now you hardly see them.

I love the look of a unit train, but you still have a variety off different cars.Good job.Nick
My vote goes to the outside braced box car.
Mickey
I liked them all.
Hi Jim, great video. Really nicely done scenery and composure. I like the modern heavy weight TTX 8 Axle flats loaded with heavy equipment.
I'm right there with you Jim. Billboard wood-side reefers and old tank cars (8 to 11 k gallon size). Aside from 2 bay coal hoppers and some passenger cars, reefers and tanks are the only rolling stock I have; sold all the rest.
I'm half way there with you, kind of, I've tried to get all the K-line SF Map Reefers (two of them, so you could see the names on which ever side of the tracks you are on), would like to add a Lionel bad SF reefer too. The other type of train I like are Passenger trains though I don't have but one currently. Enjoyed the videos.
Nice video! I'm a sucker myself for both types of rolling stock.
