Great News for O&W Fans!

In the 1970's, was there a coal mine or one of the Family Lines roads purchase some SD40-2's which were actually painted for the O&W?  Guess they are now scrapped?

I got that email too! Fantastic news! The email said 105 will reside at Steamtown. Doing cosmetic work for now, but may receive mechanical work later on, with hopes for it being used for yard work there.

At least Mth will have a paint scheme to copy for their second run of 44 tonners. I received the e-mail also and I'm ready to take a wire brush to Scranton!

This topic is a different O&W. Actually this engine is from the "NYOW", often abbreviated to O&W. You are talking about the "Oneida and Western", a coal hauling operation.
