To be honest, I never realized how big standard gauge freight cars are.  I guess I never really saw one before.  The caboose is huge, and stunningly beautiful.   When I saw these offered by a forum member, the timing was right, and well, it was destiny.  I will post one of my not so famous videos of the guys running on my layout tomorrow on the tinplate forum.  When there is enough light in my shack to display them in all their splendor.  As always, onward, towards the fog. 

My Great Grandfather was quoted "It's not what you make... it's what you save."

 

When asked about the Great Depression he replied, "yes, I remember But the Panic of 1888, well... that was really something!"

 

In his last days of his 93rd year he said, "If I had to do it over again... I would have spent it as I made it".

 

Pretty contradictory huh?
