Hey All,

Recently made the switch to HO gauge, didn't have space for O gauge in my tiny apartment. Leftover from my O gauge set-up I have:

1. TIU with DCS Remote Controller

2. MTH Z750 Transformer with barrel jack adapter

What can I do to get HO running? I've search this forum and there are some answers but seems to be some discrepancy between running ac/dc at the same time? I know I need to get a DC transformer. So my questions would be:

1. what DC transformer do I need (voltage)?

2. what channel to connect the DC transformer to?

3. do I need to power the TIU as well with AC?

4. do I need to change any TIU settings now that i'm going to run HO?

Thanks so much everyone, I have all HO PS3 engines. Appreciate any help!

Get a DC transformer rated at 18-20VDC with enough Amps for your layout.  3 to 5Amps should do.

Nothing special, I would just power FIX1 with the  Transformer and FIX1 out to the layout.  You can also use FIX 2 for a second loop.

Fixed 1 must be powered to power the TIU.

If you wanted you could get a smaller DC power pack for the AUX channel, but probably not needed for small layout.  G
