How do I take this apart | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

RK 30-67704 Santa Fe sleeper/diner 2 pak. Want to put people in the sleeper. No instructions and doesn't appear to have the same twist action to pop the shell off like many of the other RK cars I have.

2 screws at each in line with the body. The interior screws are in a deep well. Have all four out, but nothing seems loosened.

well, squeezing the sides accomplishes nothing.

i can pry up the ends of the roof, but the rest of it is resisting more than i want to apply pressure. have already put a small nick in the plastic along the roof line in the middle of the car.

just too scared to force it.

Instead of prying. Hold the body and give it a firm twist.

There is no give, Flash. Really reluctant to apply more pressure. Are you sure this works for this model?

OK. Went back upstairs, took a grip as near to the ends as I could and gave a "firm" twist. Success. Thanks.
