None, by choice...
I don't have any BIG BOYS, but I have a big girl, her name is BINGO.
None. No steam at all, diesels only.
None, because no prototypically correct model of a Big Boy has been made yet.
One- JLC 4014... I'm good with that...

One; Older Sunset 3rd rail Big Boy, needs tmcc/err work though. Its a Shelf queen at the moment.
I don't have a "Big Boy', but I do have a "Yellowstone". Powerful sucker.
19 diesels ,no steam....but i follow almost every post on steam..this forum and railfan..esp UP's BB restore.
None. Wouldn't mind owning one someday but I'm in no rush to buy one.
None now; none planned for the future. Not interested.
I sold my Williams brass Big Boy about six months ago. I am not planning on getting another one. I will enjoy watching my friends run their BBs.

None here. But that VL version is tempting!
Mine is on display at Lionel...!!!!
Two, JLC and Vision Line
JLC BB
Premier BB
Lionmaster BB
I have the JLC, and one is more than I can run on my layout. I refused to get sucked into the feeding frenzy.
None. Unfortunately, can't construct a layout on which they would run well and look good.
I like Big Boys and Challengers, but my two must have UP steam locos would be the FEF 4-8-4 the LA&SL 2-8-0's.

MTH w/ProtoSound #4012
MTH w/ProtoSound 2.0 #4004
Lionel JLC w/Legacy #4023
Don't have one. I would rather have a C&O Allegheny or Pennsy S-1 than a Big Boy.
Zero I hate Big Boys
Me to Ben.

Mine is on display at Lionel...!!!!
LOL.......
I would say, "one VL BB, so far" if it weren't for 'weather delays...' Supposed to have been here yesterday, now will be the 3rd...
Dad-gum UPS!
Love those big articulated steamers. Well, love all those steamers, for that matter. Got my baby KLine Challenger, my brass Mikado, etc. etc.
This is my first BB, so I went with the new VL. There are plenty of JLC versions out there, but since I'm a recent returnee to O scale anyway, I went with the new one with all the toys. Not sure if I'll get any more, but I reserve the right to change that at any moment!
When they bury me, that check should bounce!
.
2 MTH Imperials PS 3'S
I have two TMCC and one Legacy big boy. They are both great engines. However,IMHO the C&O Allegheny is a better beast and Lionel did a better job on it.Nick
Due to the economy and my fixed income-------ZORO!!!!!

No interest in buying a $2k Chinese toy that seems to have sub-par build/reliability.
It says a lot that a big feature mentioned with the Lionel VL products is free shipping for service for the first two years . . . .

..............and your source of information is what??????
..............speaks well of Lionel that it would cover all costs to include shipping for a 2 year period. Sounds like they have a bit of faith in its reliability and build quality.
............. I have 2 bigboys, as I have mentioned above that are not pampered or are shelf queens that run very well.
.....I guess , I just donot understand why there seems so much resistance in praising this very hi tech, beautiful engine.
guess this post will take a few hits.........

One, I had wanted one after seeing the Williams BB at a train show back in about 1990. Finally bit the bullet and pre ordered the Lionel 4006 BB back in 1999.
No Bigboys, have one Lionel Challenger and a MTH Z-6, don't need anymore big articulated steam.
Not a one.
