A friend on the mainland has a layout and collection here on Maui and has asked my help in inventorying. I am a ho and n gauge railroader with very limited knowledge of Lionel and MTH. I have been told that there is a Lionel collector here on Maui or possibly on another Island who might be able to give me some direction.
Anyone out there who can respond with a name/phone/email of such a collector?

If you update your subject to include your location, it may enhance the chances of the person you are seeking responding. 
i.e., "Inventory help - looking for local contact for help with O gauge collection in Maui" or something similar.

This is an ok reference postwar Lionel trains use Ctrl + F to open search in Internet Explorer and search the model or part number.

Take photos. if you have Excel or a spreadsheet application, create a simple list. A digital record will be much more useful for any activity related to the collection than a paper record.
Be patient, work on it until it bugs you. Don't make it job. It will be fun.
