I spotted this track configuration on the Gotham TV show.  The show gives a glimpse of a second track to the right but isn't the angle too sharp and abrupt for a turnout?  Wouldn't a crossing use a fixed frog and not a movable frog?  Could it be a derail?  It appears to be on a wharf with a tug boat and large ships in the background.  The show is said to be filmed in New York City but the produces admit to adding computer generated background images to give it a more gritty feel.

Thank You,

Nathan

1.  Strange track configuration

2.  Distant track aligning with the turnout(?), broken asphalt too.

3.  Broken asphalt at the bottom and second rail behind the people.  The structures, if real, may identify the location to someone familiar with the NY harbors.

I could be a movable frog. You can see the patch or rough asphalt curving away in the second pic, which could indicate the former path of a track that connected to the one running straight up the street. I've not seen such a contraption myself, but it's not to say that something could not be custom-fabricated for a unique situation in a crowded dock area. Perhaps someone inhabiting the subways/traction/transit forum would know more.
