Lionel SD60MAC....?

You might want to do a bit more research into that. The SD60 model had a "standard cab & nose" , while the SD60M had the same "wide nose" as the SD70MAC, however the long hood carbody structure are quite different between the SD60M and the SD70MAC, due to all the inverter cooling air intakes.

Yes, and those obvious differences should be very obvious between an SD60/SD60M and the SD70MAC models.

I own two of the Lionel SD70MAC's but still haven't been able to get my hands on an SD60. Now, if I'm correct in what I've seen just looking at pictures, it appears they used the exact same tooling for the frame and long hood, just changed the cab. Can anyone with both of these engines confirm that? I know on the SD70MAC the frame has support for around the inside of the nose, so the frame on the SD60 might be different in that area because of the standard cab. It'd be cool to know if they have interchangeable shell parts, it could make for some interesting custom engines with minimal/no work at all.
